Have y’all heard of the She Reads Truth bible study app? If you haven’t and are looking for an awesome resource to study the bible, I highly recommend this one. I’ve been a fan of theirs for quite some time, so when the opportunity came to join the launch team for a new bible study with the founders of She Reads Truth, I jumped at the chance. This is an excellent scripture based bible study. I loved it! I looked forward to every lesson and came away with something every day. This study not only reminded me of the power in the Word, but encouraged me to go even deeper. It’s something I’ve needed for this season in my life. This makes for a great group study, so if you’re looking to study the word with women, this is an excellent resource. I was truly encouraged and hope y’all get a chance to go through this one as well! What’s one of your favorite Bible studies?(Thank you to Lifeway Press for a copy of the book in exchange for my honest review)Originally posted att: http://booksandbeverages.org/2016/02/...

Perhaps I just misunderstood the premise of this book. I bought it because I thought it was going to provide a practical structure to reading and studying the bible. I was hoping the book would offer some real solutions to my problem of hopping around and at times not knowing where to begin. It turns out they do outline some different methods of bible study, but it's one single page in the appendix. Ha! So obviously I was just expecting something different than this book offered. As for what it did actually cover, meh. I didn't love the long, only semi relevant life stories at the beginning of each chapter. There were a few good points made throughout, but mostly I felt like I was just going through the motions to get through the questions. I can't say it inspired me. On the other hand, it did get me to "open my bible" every day and I need that push after the business of the holidays kind of derailed me. So, mission accomplished.

I think parts were unclear if you were not a seasoned believer, you would have a hard time understanding a few areas. Not in-depth, just scratched the surface it felt like and hopped around a lot. Videos did not aid in my understanding or appreciation...liked both ladies but felt they talked over one another.

I really enjoyed this Bible study. The videos that accompany it were very short, and more of a sit in with friends. The meat of the study is in the book, and the Bible. Opening up parts of the Bible I haven't read yet. And exploring how to apply the Word, and abide in Jesus. Love it.

I enjoyed this Bible Study. I have been using the She Reads Truth app daily. Both Rachel & Amanda are authentic. I love that their ministry is to share the bible with women on a daily basis.

I really enjoyed this study. It's definitely helped equip me to be more comfortable about how and where to study the bible. I hope to continue applying the information I learned over this study.

I love that this book addresses our obstacles to getting in our Bibles and digging deeper into them, but wasn't entirely captivated by the writing. A great starting point for someone who's just coming to the faith and/or not an avid reader. I also LOVED the photos distributed throughout the book -- they were like a breath of fresh air. Good study.

I truly loved this Bible study! So much so that I'm doing it again with different friends via Facebook instead of in person because we're all very busy and don't have schedules where meeting face to face is possible. It encouraged, convicted, taught me and so much more. I really just got so much out of this study and can not wait to start more of their studies.

It was just okay for me. It didn't seem to have any structure to it and it was very slow.

Read for a Bible Study. I was unable to participate much in the group due to circumstances. Typical modern Bible study book with a little more emphasis on scripture.
